6 Summer Diffuser Blend Recipes

These 6 Summer Diffuser Blend Recipes are our favorite combinations for keeping the atmosphere full of fun and light scents throughout the season.

When we were developing these summer diffuser combinations we focused on citrus and floral scents with only a small touch of spice. It was fun to mix and match different citrus essential oils for a very fresh and invigorating scent.

6 Summer Diffuser Blend Recipes

Tangerine & Lemongrass

This blend is a crisp reminder of the vibrant, active life of summertime!

Tangerine brings a bright, tart citrus scent. It’s not as mellow as Orange essential oil, but pretty similar in sweetness. I love it with Lemongrass essential oil. The Lemongrass has a fresh and outdoorsy smell that reminds me of a brisk walk in a sunny field. It’s grassy without being earthy. And Lemongrass essential oil is crisp and citrusy. A perfect complement to the briskness of the Tangerine.

Jade Lemon & Bergamot

This diffuser combination is my current favorite for summer. It’s bright, refreshing, and slightly sweet.

If you follow our Facebook videos [1] you’ve definitely heard of Jade Lemon. It’s one of our very favorite oils that we use every day because of its lemon-lime complex scent. That’s the Bergamot. Even though Bergamot essential oil is from the rind of citrus fruit, it does have a slightly floral scent that makes it a great combination with Jade Lemon.

Palmarosa and Grapefruit

This diffuser recipe is perfect in our favorite aromatherapy necklace [2]. It’s so feminine and uplifting!

The Palmarosa reminds me of a cross between Geranium and Rose. Yes! That’s a win for me. Think English garden. That is kicked up a notch with the fruity goodness of Grapefruit. I love to use Grapefruit when I want to feel cheerful and energized. This recipe does that PLUS having the floral touch of the Palmarosa.

Lemon and Jasmine

Another floral citrus combo, this summer diffuser recipe is romantic and happy.

The Lemon is sweet and citrusy, like diffusing sunshine into your room. This is mellowed out by the intoxicating scent of Jasmine. There’s no getting around the power of Jasmine to set the mood for love.

Lime and Citrus Fresh

Fun and fresh. That’s what I think of this recipe. The Lime added to the already amazing Citrus Fresh makes this diffuser blend festive and celebratory. This would be a great blend for a party.

Citrus Fresh is already so amazing and energizing. What could make it better?! Jazz it up with equal amount Lime and you’ve now got a scent that would be perfect for having company over. They’ll be recharged and refreshed by this wonderful combo.

Orange and Elemi

We had to throw in a little spice into our summer. This blend is a little bit citrus and a little bit of spice. This final summer diffuser recipe will help create a mellow and relaxed environment.

Elemi isn’t really a spice. It’s in the same family as Frankincense and Myrrh. But it does have a spicy and rich scent that creates the foundation for the Orange to shine. Orange is sweet and mellow.

These 6 Summer Diffuser Recipes are the perfect way to add a touch of summer to your home any time of year. We’d love to know what scents you are diffusing! We’re always looking for new combinations to fall in love with.
