The first place I wanted to freshen up was my linen closet. I don’t know how a small area full of freshly cleaned linens can get so stuffy smelling. I just place one of these disks in there and then I get to enjoy the fresh, clean scent every time we change the sheets. The disks seem to last forever, but it’s probably more accurate that they need to be replaced twice a year.
Deodorizing disks can be placed under the sink in your guest bathroom or inside your teenager’s closet. Different issues. Same fresh solution.
The baking soda acts to naturally neutralize odors. The combination of Lavender and Lemon Essential Oils bring a bright and fresh herbal scent. The secret ingredient in our Deodorizing Disks is the vanilla extract. Oh my! It just adds the perfect touch of sweetness!

Deodorizing Disks
Ingredients
- 1 cup baking soda
- 4 tablespoons distilled water
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 15 drops Lemon Essential Oil
- 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a small glass bowl.
- Divide the mixture into your cookie pan [1] (or this one [5]) to make about 20 disks.
- Allow to dry completely, probably overnight. DO NOT remove them while they are still damp. They’ll fall apart.
- To use: Place in your refrigerator, linen closet, or any place that needs deodorizing. Replace as needed.
- Store any unused disks in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
*NOTE: Please make sure to place these out of reach of your little ones. Children could mistake these for cookies and you don’t want that. They’ll taste terrible.
