Fun in the Sun Oily Tips

Fun in the Sun Oily Recipes

We’ve compiled some of our favorite recipes to get your ready for a remarkably oily summer.

Stay hydrated with Citrus Water [2]. My family likes to be intentional about fluids for at least 48 hours before any outdoor adventures. This lets your body store up the fluids you’ll need BEFORE you are in the heat of the day and wishing you were more prepared.

Get your body beach-ready with some nourishing shave gel [3] and this amazing body scrub [4].

Apparently I like to break the rules because I use the Men’s Shave Gel [3] on my legs and the Hand Scrub [4] all over! I even use it on my legs after a shave and it leaves them silky smooth. Some body scrubs are salt-based and horrible for use after shaving. Our recipe is not and is perfect for your delicate, freshly shaven legs.

Pay special attention to your tootsies before you make your way to the beach or lake. This Peppermint Foot Scrub [5] is ideal for scrubbing away the winter months from your poor neglected feet. (Finish with Cuticle Oil [6] for an extra moisturizing touch!)

Moisturizing is not just for winter months. You’ll want to keep your skin moist and nourished all summer long. Try one of these wonderful body moisturizers:

Moisturizing Body Oil [7] – perfect for after the shower to add moisture back into your skin!

Rich Body Butter [8] – we made this with Frankincense essential oil, and it’s perfect to moisturize and hydrate your skin in all types of weather, but especially during the heat of the summer.

On-the-Go Lotion Bar [9] – we love this moisture-rich lotion stick. All of the ingredients in this recipe work together to nourish, hydrate, and revitalize dry, cracked, and sensitive skin.

Maybe your hair gets dry from swimming or being outdoors in the sun too long. You’ll want to reach for the Spray-On Conditioner [10]. It protects hair while you’re outdoors and you can use it after exposure, too, to help bring back the moisture that was zapped out during a long day of fun in the sun.

Throw some Outdoor Spray [11] in your bag when you head outside. We spray it on our clothes and skin to enjoy the outdoors annoyance free.

Get ready for luscious lips all summer long by whipping up a batch of Homemade Moisturizing Vanilla Lip Balm [12]. I keep a tube in my purse for me and one to share. There’s always someone who needs a moisture boost from sun and wind and outdoor escapades.

After all the fun is over, pay special attention to your skin. Our Soothing After Sun Spray [13] contains naturally soothing and beautifying ingredients with the cooling touch of Peppermint Essential Oil and the calming influence of Lavender Essential Oil. So refreshing!

Whether you were working in the garden or playing with the kids, enjoy a nice soak for your tired muscles [14] and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.
