Surviving Winter Essential Oils Gift Basket

Winter time can be so much fun with cozy fires, warm sweaters, snowball fights, Christmas carols, magic in the air…but it can also be dreary, freezing, icy, and depressing. On top of that, if you aren’t feeling well, then it can be downright miserable. Thankfully, there’s a solution…our Surviving Winter Essential Oils Gift Basket.

Everyone needs a little help from time to time to feel healthy and whole. Create this winter gift basket for your friends and family to help them through the season. Each recipe just takes a few minutes to create and all of them can be made into large batches and then divided up!

While, there are lots of essential oil winter recipes we could have included, we chose these three: Moisturizing Hand Cleanser Spray, Homemade Chest Rub, and Invigorating Shower Bombs.

So gather up your friends and have a Surviving Winter Essential Oils Gift Basket party!

Homemade Chest Rub [1]

When cold weather hits and your chest feels tight and achy, be sure to have this chest rub on hand! It’s made using only 3 ingredients: beeswax, coconut oil, and R.C. essential oil. You could absolutely substitute any of the eucalyptus oils, Thieves, Raven, or even peppermint essential oil, but R.C. is one that is specially created with 10 essential oils that is perfect for a chest rub!

I love that this chest rub can be made in less than 25 minutes and a little goes a long way.

DIY Hand Cleanser Spray [2]

Homemade hand cleanser is something I carry with me at all times, all year-long, but especially during the winter. I like to make a big batch and divide it into several 2 oz. glass spray bottles, so I can tuck them everywhere. Because there’s no alcohol in this recipe vs. store bought hand cleansers, our whole family can safely use it all winter without overdrying our hands. Plus, we added Vitamin E and almond oil to make it extra moisturizing without being greasy.

The only 2 essential oils you’ll need are Thieves and Tea Tree as both are excellent for cleansing.

Invigorating Shower Bombs [3]

Feeling drained and yucky during the cold winter months? Awaken your body each morning with an invigorating shower bomb! They are made to slowly dissolve creating a fantastic essential oil infused steam shower. And, they are super inexpensive to make with baking soda, cornstarch, water, and oils!

Our 2 preferred essential oils for winter months are R.C. and Peppermint for the shower bombs. However, the awesome thing about these homemade discs is that you can truly use any essential oil that sounds amazing to you. Need a peaceful combination? Try Lavender or Stress Away shower bombs. Prefer a manly scent for your husband or son? Use Cedarwood or one of the Eucalyptus oils.
