Lavender Cuticle Oil

If you’re like me, then you might not think about your cuticles very often. My poor hands get washed a LOT because of gardening, the kids, and lots of cooking. This leads to my cuticles becoming dry, cracked, and painful. I need to set up a calendar reminder for myself to apply this Lavender Cuticle Oil because my cuticles are nourished and less tender even after only one use.

Nourishing Ingredients

We use apricot kernel oil [1] in this recipe for good reason: It’s perfect for nourishing dry skin! Apricot kernel oil has high levels of vitamin A which helps leave skin shiny, nourished, and plump without feeling greasy. Apricot kernel oil has a mild scent and usually doesn’t bother people that might have allergies to other oils. It’s absorbed into the skin quickly and WOW is it richly moisturizing.

If you don’t have apricot kernel oil on hand you can substitute almond oil [2] or any of our other favorite carrier oils [3].

We also add a tiny amount of vitamin E [4]. It’s a small amount for a huge impact! And, yes, this is our favorite little skincare boost for extra nourishing. We love vitamin E for supple and young looking skin. Here’s a short list of our favorite ways to use vitamin E oil [5] in your beauty routine:

Lavender essential oil impacts this recipe with beautifying power. We’re using a therapeutic dilution of about 3% for greater effectiveness. You can use up to 30 drops in this recipe for a 5% dilution appropriate when you need a stronger impact. Lavender essential oil offers a wonderful scent and a beautifying touch that you’ll love.
