There are endless combinations you can try in your diffuser, but for a beginner, where do you start? These 5 Premium Starter Bundle Diffuser Recipes are simple and delightful.
Diffusing essential oils is one of my favorite ways to use them in our home every day. I reach for different oils depending on what’s going on in our lives. We diffuse in our kitchen to get rid of strong food odors. We diffuse at night to relax before bed. Our whole family loves trying new essential oils and finding combinations that make us feel wonderful and make our home smell amazing!
We hope these recipes will inspire you to try your own combinations.
When you first start diffusing it’s important to remember to start low and go slow.
One or two drops of oil are usually plenty when you’re first experiencing oils. It takes some time for your body to get used to oils when you are first starting.
Pay attention to the recommendations on the oil bottle to see how long to diffuse each one. Some oils should only be diffused for 20 – 30 minutes at a time. Essential oils are extremely concentrated plant extracts and it’s important to follow label instructions.
The best part about diffusing essential oils? You don’t have to wait to have a huge collection of oils to enjoy diffusing different combinations. The Premium Starter Bundle from Young Living comes with several essential oils that are perfect to diffuse. You can choose to diffuse essential oils one at a time, but we love to mix and match oils for creative combinations of diffuser blend recipes.
Keep in mind that it’s recommended not to diffuse a blend with another blend. You can mix and match single oils or add another single oil to one blend, but don’t diffuse two different blends in the same diffuser.
How can you know if a combination is going to smell great diffused?
You don’t have to start out by pouring them into your diffuser. Convince yourself that you are going to love this blend by giving it a sniff right out of the bottle. Open the bottles and hold them in your hands together. Then pass them about 6 inches under your nose and inhale smoothly and deeply. You’ll know if it’s the right blend for your mood. If that one didn’t strike your fancy, don’t give up. Just move to the next combination or sub out another essential oil. It’s all up to you. These are just a few ideas to get you started.

Should I use distilled water?

We always recommend using distilled water in a diffuser. It helps prevent build up. If you don’t have distilled water try using purified water.
