If you’re like me then your mornings might need a little get up and go. These diffuser recipes will be perfect to jumpstart your day. We handpicked some of our favorite energizing aromatherapy combinations to share with you.
We previously shared our favorite anytime picker upper diffuser recipe from the Premium Starter Kit. Lemon and Peppermint is always a favorite in our house. So this time we are focusing on Get Up & Go Morning Diffuser recipes!
Remember that these are just a starting place and combinations that work well for us. Always have fun experimenting with the oils you have on hand to find what energizes you!
We recommend starting with 1-2 drops of each oil in your diffuser and then adding more if needed.
How can you know if a combination is going to smell great diffused?
You don’t have to start out by pouring them into your diffuser. Convince yourself that you are going to love this blend by giving it a sniff right out of the bottle. Open the bottles and hold them in your hands together. Then pass them about 6 inches under your nose and inhale smoothly and deeply. You’ll know if it’s the right blend for your mood. If that one didn’t strike your fancy, don’t give up. Just move to the next combination or sub out another essential oil. It’s all up to you. These are just a few ideas to get you started.
Joy and Lemon
This duo has a different kind of kick. The Joy is floral and beautiful and always encourages me to start my day with a smile. The Lemon essential oil lifts up the Joy to even higher heights. The scent is amazing! I’d also recommend this for a ladies’ tea or luncheon.
- 2 drops Lemon Essential Oil
- 1 drop Joy Essential Oil
Jade Lemon and Stress Away
This combination has a calming effect after a rough night’s sleep. I use it to help gently bring me into the day. The Jade Lemon has a Key Lime Pie appeal which wakes up my senses every time. This combines with the velvety vanilla in the Stress Away to provide a sweet morning experience.

Palmarosa, Geranium, Tangerine

Grapefruit and Basil
I use this blend when I need to shake off my grogginess and get to work early in the morning. It helps me focus. The energizing grapefruit pairs perfectly with the invigorating herbal flair of basil.

Black Pepper and Frankincense
Let’s spice it up a little! Do not let the Black Pepper fool you. The sharpness of the Pepper helps to awaken your senses and open up your mind’s eye to what you can accomplish today. Even though Frankincense is usually used for meditation, in this blend it serves to anchor your mind and spirit on the present so you can get things done.
- 2 drops Black Pepper Essential Oil
- 2 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
Cypress, Bergamot, Clary Sage, Eucalyptus Radiata
This is the only foursome that made our morning favorite’s list. Don’t be intimidated by the variety of woody, citrusy, herbal, and refreshing scents. Together they work to bring all your senses alive, let you breathe in the day, and align your perspective for great things to come.

I’d like to try jade lemon and stress away since you say it has a key lime pie appeal. That would go perfect with my healthy and energizing key lime pie smoothie I make for breakfast in the morning!
