Cleaning supplies for a present? I’m pretty sure there’s a longstanding joke about men who buy women vaccuum cleaners for Christmas and it doesn’t go well. BUT, this oily gift idea for a Household Cleaning Gift Basket is different! We promise!

Protecting your loved ones by removing harmful, toxic chemicals is super important. While, it’s not a beautiful outfit or fancy jewelry or the perfect art piece…a gift basket full of non-toxic, all-natural oily products for your entire home does say how much you love someone.

We’ve gathered up some of our favorite household cleaning products that are tested, work great, and smell amazing to help you bless a family member, new homeowner, favorite teacher or neighbor, or college student this holiday season.

Make all of them or pick a handful of recipes to assemble into a gift basket.

Be sure to see our note at the end to see an easy way to make several gift baskets in one easy afternoon.

Bathroom Poo Spray

If you’ve never heard of it…it’s a spray that you add to the toilet water BEFORE you do your business. It creates a ‘seal’ or barrier, so to speak, on the water and holds the poo-smell in the water and keeps it from stinking up the bathroom.

Don’t believe me? It WORKS. If this mom to 4 boys says it works, it works!

Try out our homemade Bathroom Poo Spray today.

Carpet Cleaner and Deodorizer

If you have carpet in your home, then you know the pain and the joy of keeping it clean and fresh. We have a dog and six kids so this is a must for us. In addition to our fabulous fabric refresher below, we use a simple routine to gently refresh and deodorize our carpet with simple and natural ingredients. (Plus, we absolutely adore this shaker bottle to store it in! It makes it so easy to sprinkle onto the carpet.)

Check out our Carpet Cleaner and Deodorizer recipe here.

Deodorizing Disks

Smells happen. They show up in the oddest places at the worst times and stay longer than you’d like. Thankfully you probably have all the ingredients in your home right now to make your own homemade deodorizers. And, it’s super easy to personalize them with your favorite oily aroma!

Try a batch of these DIY Deodorizing Disks today!

Fabric Refresher

Easy DIY Fabric Refresher from RecipesWithEssentialOils.com

This DIY Fabric Refresher will freshen the air of your home as well as completely eliminate odors without the use of toxins or chemicals.

It’s so convenient and just takes a spray here and there to get your home smelling fresh and odor-free! I store mine in 2 oz. dark glass spray bottles and have a couple around the house for easy access.

See our DIY Fabric Refresher recipe here.

Glass & Window Cleaner

Homemade Glass and Window Cleaner Recipe from RecipeswithEssentialOils.com

Get rid of the common “blue glass spray” that we all grew up with and start using distilled water, vinegar, and your favorite oily scent to clean all the glass and windows in your home! We use Lemongrass in ours because it smells really fresh and clean, but you can always substitute with your favorite oil.

Check out the ingredient ratios for this easy Glass & Window Spray recipe here.

Holiday Room Sprays

Take the best essential oils and blend them together to make your home smell completely amazing through the entire holiday season. Gather your supplies and your favorite essential oils to create a simple Holiday Room Spray in less than 5 minutes. (We make them in 2 oz. glass spray bottles so that we can change up the aroma as we desire, but you could certainly find your favorite scent and make a larger batch in a bigger bottle.)

Shower Cleaner

Daily Shower Cleaner Recipe from RecipeswithEssentialOils.com

Tea Tree and Thieves essential oils combine to pack a cleaning punch in this Daily Shower Cleaner. Tea Tree includes the naturally occurring constituents terpinene-4-ol, gamma terpinene and alpha-terpinene. Thieves essential oil delivers a warm and energizing scent plus extra cleaning power.

Combine the oils with a few other awesome ingredients like vinegar and you’ve got a Shower Cleaner Spray that works quickly and can help keep your shower from needing to be scrubbed!
