Does anyone besides me have bad days from time to time? I used to just want to be left alone so I could deal with it in my own time, but that’s not really how adult life works. Being left alone doesn’t happen too often, but I still need to get out of my grumpiness.
But, it’s not just women (or moms) that need a mood adjustment from time to time. Thankfully, essential oils can work on all of us. The easiest way to make that happen for anyone in the family at any time is to make different batches of rollerball blends that meet the needs of all of us.
Happiness Roller Blends for the Entire Family
There are numerous studies that have been done on how essential oils can affect our moods in a very positive way. They do this by interacting with our olfactory nerves which communicate directly with our brains, telling us to snap out of it and be happy.
Roller blend recipes are amazingly easy as all you need are essential oils and a carrier oil. We prefer fractionated coconut oil as it’s not sticky and has low to no odor so that the essential oils aroma can be the star.
Gift Idea
Color code the roller bottles for different family members, wrap them up and place them in stockings for a Christmas present! My family, especially the kids, love having their very own blends of oils. I think it makes the roller bottles more special and personal.
Happiness Blends For Her
For females of all ages, we have our 6 Cheerful Roller Blend Recipes with one of my favorites being a simple blend of Lavender and Lemon essential oils. But, some days, Tangerine and Hinoki are my go-to blend. My daughter adores the Grapefruit and Geranium combination shown above. Be sure to check all of them out here!
But what about the males in the family?
I know my boys (husband and son) would prefer a little less froufrou smells, so I had Beth do a little experimenting to find some more manly scents that still invoke feelings of happiness for the menfolk. And, here’s what we came up with…and it’s amazing! It smells so good. My boys gave it a thumbs up. I hope yours will too!

Do these roller bottles have steel or plastic rollers? The picture shows steel, but a question was asked & it was said that they are plastic rollers.
Steel rolls better, would you agree?
Beth K says
The ones we link to in this recipe have stainless steel roller balls. We love them!

Ok, thank-you. I have some rollers that have plastic balls & they don’t roll well at all. Do you find that the rollers with metal balls roll much better?
Jenn says
I don’t know if the roller balls themselves make a giant difference as much as the quality of the entire product. We’ve tried out some real duds which is why we always recommend the 2 brands in our recipe posts because we’ve had good luck with those.

How do you know if an oil is a dud or not? I bought some and it looks like the oil isn’t going down but when I rub on myself I can smell it.
