  • Apply 2–4 drops to skin to moisturize and enhance skin radiance.
  • Diffuse at night for a calming aroma during sleep.
  • Add to bath to create a calming and comforting environment.

Lemon Essential Oil

Uses: Aromatic & Topical (choose Lemon Vitality for internal use)

Lemon (Citrus limon) essential oil includes the naturally occurring constituent limonene. Lemon may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. It takes about 75 lemons to make one 15 ml bottle of lemon oil.

  • Put 2 drops in a capsule. Take 3 times daily or as needed.
  • Add a drop to your glass of water for a burst of citrus flavor.
  • Infuse marinades, frosting, baked goods, or simply place a drop or two on baked chicken for added flavor.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Uses: Aromatic & Topical (choose Frankincense Vitality for internal use)

Do you have or know of a recipe for deodorant with essential oils? I have a friend that will not use regular deodorant and I want her to have some during the summer, without paying an arm and a leg for it. Thank you!

I am 71 years old & after visiting my sister-in-law in another state in June I decided I needed to try essential oils. She massaged my arthritic hands with a blend…not sure what but it had the name “blue” in it. My painful joints felt better that evening & the next morning. The scent alone is helpful.

I am overwhelmed, but did purchase some oils she recommended. I am also trying to read as much as I can, but you can imagine that there is a lot to absorb. Your article is the most helpful one I have read so far.

I feel I must add that I believe I am a young 71…on no prescription meds, extremely active & for the most part I feel great. I want to do all I can to treat any ailments or pain with natural supplements when possible…I know that won’t always be the case.

I’m not sure the blend your sister-in-law used. It could have been Panaway which comes in a blue bottle and really helps with everyday aches and soreness from common activities.

It was probably Blue Tansy or Deep Blue by DoTerra? I’m new to YL, just joined this month 🙂

I am new to the world of essential oils and have gathered quit a collection so far but am a little uneasy about starting to mix up the different blends I see on Pinterest. Are there certain carrier oils that work better with different oil blends? What do you recommend is the best therapeutic grade oils at a reasonable price and lastly, where is the best place to buy bottles to store the blends. Thanks in advance.
